“I believe we, as humans, are born with an innate desire to move to the beat and music inside of us.” Tammy Stott
ABOUT ME
I’ve been married to my husband, Rusty for almost 30 years. We have four children and have lived in Cache Valley for 20 years. I have been teaching private piano for 19 years. I taught my children to play the piano and we’ve included guitar, trombone, ukulele, and other musical instruments in our home.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Brigham Young University and have taught all ages–preschool through adults. After college, I taught adults, high school, elementary, and preschool. I have Orff Schulwerk Level One and Two certificates in music education. I have also taught in the Cache County school district as a music specialist. I love seeing students discover the joy of music in their lives. We learn the fundamentals, as well as improvisation and composition.
As someone once said, “Music is the voice of the soul” and that brings beauty to life. I am forever grateful for that beautiful, vibrant thread of music that traveled through the generations and I believe we should continue to share that with others.
